Summary
The Sims 3 is an upcoming strategic life simulation computer game for the Windows operating system. It is a sequel to the highly popular and critically acclaimed The Sims and The Sims 2 computer games. It was announced in an interview by EA in November 2006, where it was also mentioned that the release date of the game will be June 2, 2009.
History
Electronic Arts officially announced The Sims 3 March 19, 2008. The release is supposed to be in 2009.
On February 3, 2009 EA announced the shipping date has been moved up to June 2, 2009. “The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3,” said Russell Arons, Vice President of Marketing for EA.
