Intended use
This template is used for inclusion in pages about one game only. It brings all the needed information in one compact and general fashion to the user. Using this template, the page will be more uniform and togehter with the absic starting texts, give a more professional structure in which users will find the infos they are looking for a lot faster.
This tample has optional parameters, please be careful with filling in data, to fill in at least what is required!

Documentation of all parameters
Only title is required, all other parameters are optional. Please fill in only whats really needed or where data is present. If you do not have data for it, just do not use the parameter and that part wont be shown.
- title (required)
- Title of the game, example 'Battlefield 2' or 'The Sims'
- image
- Cover image if avaialable, otherwise a typical screenshot, see also Cover Images Guidelines. Link to the original picture.
- release
- Date of release. If possible, down to the day in the format '31. December 2000'. If the game is announced only, write whatever you have as data, but try to make it into one of those formats, like 'Q4 2010' or 'October 2010'. Do not use 'Fall 2010', make that Q3 or Q4. If the release is on different days in different countries, use this: (insert example for countries!)
- genre
- Add at least one genre per game, if applicable, multiple ones. Refer to the list of genres and their description and if you are unsure ask an admin. Always use the link to the genre.
- developer
- Company that developed it. Please make sure you get it not mixed up with anything else. Always link a company.
- publisher
- Company that was the publisher for this game. Please make sure you get it not mixed up with anything else. Always link a company.
- distributor
- Company that only distributed it. This happens rarely but does happen. Please make sure you get it not mixed up with anything else. Always link a company.
- currentversion
- Actual version of the game, link to a release note copy here on a games subpage inside the GameWiki itself.
- technology
- The technologies used. That is mostly, but is not limited to the game engine (unreal, half-life, quake), physics engines, render enhancements and more. Be sure to link each technology and if it is not listed yet, create a stub for it.
- playmode
- One of the listed playmodes. Always link to them.
- platform
- Link here to one or multiple plattforms. Also include the game in the category for each game as you add them.
- media
- Storage medium this game comes on. See the distribution medias page for details.
- requirements
- Mostly only used in computer games. Can also be some special gear for consoles.
- input
- Control options for the game. Some only use a controller, others only keybaord, but there are also special controllers.
- addons
- List game pages that are addons, expansion packs, booster packs, or the likes, for this game.
- series
- Link to a series page, for a series of games. There is always an overview page over the series, containing links to all games and general background info.
- prequel
- If there was a 'Game Title 2' and this now is 'Game Title 3', then add 'Game Title 2' in here. Do not mention addons in here. Also edit the 'Game Title 2' article and add 'Game Title 3' as the sequel to 'Game Title 2'.
- sequel
- If there is now a 'Game Title 4' and this now is 'Game Title 3', then add 'Game Title 4' in here. Do not mention addons in here.
- similar
- Add one game at a line for games that are similar to this one. Try not to put more than 5 games here. If its something seldom or very broad game based, limit it to under 8 games. Try to add the most interesting games first.
