Summary
Spore is a life simulator. You start as single cell organism, and evolve to be a land dwelling, city building and then space faring species. In this you can modify your creatures as well as its buildings to your hearts content.

June 25, 2008. A week after the Spore Creature Creator has been released over one million creatures have been designed and uploaded.
June 17, 2008. The Spore Creature Creator is released and give the first hands-on opportunity to design your own species and share it with your friends. All creatures designed with the Spore Creature Creator can be imported into the full retail version of Spore for PC and Mac when it launches on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America.
February 12, 2008. Electronic Arts and Maxis today announced that Spore, will be available at retailers worldwide the weekend of September 7. Spore will be available for Windows, MacOS, Nintendo DS and mobile phones.
January 16, 2008. At the Macworld Expo today, Electronic Arts Inc. announced that Spore will be available for the Mac later this year.
January 10, 2006. Spore is first announced. Begin your odyssey at the dawn of life as a simple microbe just trying to survive, then use the fun, intuitive Editors to evolve the creature from its microscopic origins into an intelligent, tool-using race. Guide your species as it builds (and the player designs) villages, buildings, cities, and vehicles. Along the way to becoming a global civilization you can choose whether to hunt or forage, attack or trade, be nice or play rough!
