Egosoft is a German company that has held it's independence for a long time now. Their games of the X-Universe are highly acclaimed. Egosoft is mostly known for a fantastic support and community interaction. Patches not only fix broken things, but add more functions and more content into the games. With recent games the mod ability of the games have increased to the point where some mods almost reached the status of their own game add on.
